Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Trying to keep up with the modern world I thought it might be interesting to see what happens if I post the Salmon Annual updates in blog form. Hope you like it.
I’d hoped to send you another chapter from this year’s Salmon Annual this weekend, but the big Mac with all the copy and photos has broken down again, so it may be a little while until I can do that. In the meantime I’ll carry on with the vailability updates.

1 June heralds the start of the salmon fishing season in Norway.
The Bjora, a Namsen tributary started in the middle of May with a disappointing number of small fish showing up in the catch of 34 to 30 May. The Namsen though has started well with 30 fish reported in the Overhalla area, including salmon of 16.2kg, 11.4kg, and 17.1kg.
Down on the Gaula the Gaula Nature Centre reports 23 fish from the Storen area over the first day. The NFC water produced a 21-pounder (pictured above) to get the season under way in fine style. Manfred says that there are a few rods available in June, and with conditions looking “nae so bad” it might be worth contacting him. His email is raguse@t-online.de
Tight lines,
Roy.
